Bebo launches Social Inbox for aggregated access
Bebo has launched a 'Social Inbox' to give users access to their favourite online activities from across the web in one place. Bebo users will now be able to access their Twitter, Flickr and YouTube accounts from the new inbox. Others providers linked to the inbox will include Bebo owner AOL for mail and IM facilities and Yahoo and social book marking site Del.icio.us. Bebo joins rivals MySpace and Facebook, which have both made moves on opening up their platforms over the last few days. The new aggregated inbox aims to cut down on the clutter of online social networking. Joanna Shields, president of AOL People Networks, said, "The current fragmented social networking environment makes keeping up-to-date with others increasingly difficult. Bebo's new Social Inbox is our first step in solving this problem." Today rival network MySpace went live with a toolbar to offer its users notifications on their social networking activity while they browse the web. The bar will feed users information on messages, friend requests and updates. Sourced from NMA.co.uk, Distributed by PCMAGCOM
