ITV.com attracted 905,000 unique users during last weekend’s X Factor final, a 54% rise on last year, according to the broadcaster.
The number of unique visitors to the show’s website rose 16% since last year, taking the total to 12m.
Over the final weekend of the show, 1.4m unique users visited the site, 905,000 on the Sunday alone; the highest ever daily figure for the site, according to ITV.
The show saw a total 31.5m video views, both clips and full-length content across ITV Player and the X Factor site, while the number of people watching on ITV Player rose 78% from last year.
The X Factor site generated 85.6m page views across the series, while Sunday’s final produced 3.6m page views.
The X Factor is produced by TalkbackThames Digital, which also manages the show’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. The show currently has 2.27m Facebook fans and 153,000 Twitter followers.
19.4m people watched the X Factor final on TV, while an average of 17.2m people watched the two-hour final results show, its biggest ever audience share.
Last year’s final show was watched by an average of 15.5m and saw a peak of 19.1m viewers. |
